Coco Jones is an American singer, songwriter and actress who is known for her song “ICU”. She gained exposure with her re-emergence from Disney Channel roots to become one of R&B’s fresh leading voices.
Coco who was born in Lebanon, Tennessee, grew up with a session vocalist mother and a former NFL player father. She showed glimpses of her talent from childhood, while singing at talent competitions and appearing on Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing, which led to Disney Channel roles in So Random!, Good Luck Charlie, and starring in the musical movie Let It Shine (2012).
She parted ways with her first label, and was doing music independently for almost a decade, while focusing on her songwriting and identity outside the mainstream spotlight.
Coco Jones returned to the music scene in 2022 where she signed with High Standardz / Def Jam and also released her EP “What I Didn’t Tell You”. The EP lead single “ICU” became popular, reaching the Billboard Hot 100 and also received the Grammy for Best R&B Performance in 2024.
