Biography
Qing Madi is an award winning Nigerian singer, and songwriter known for her viral hit songs “See Finish” and “Ole”. She won The Headies Award for Songwriter of the Year in 2025.
Qing Madi was born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, as the last child in a family of four. She grew up alongside her siblings in a music environment, with her mother having g a major impact in her early life and education. She went to Negbenebor for her secondary education in Benin City.
She started up with singing in church choir while also participating in talent shows. She developed her unique style through dedication and hard work.
She had her breakthrough with the release of her single “See Finish” in 2022. The song went viral on TikTok and peaked at number one on the Uganda Top 100 Apple Music chart and number three on the Nigeria Top 100 Apple Music chart. This led to the release of her debut extended play, Qing Madi (2023), which featured “See Finish” as well as its follow-up single “Ole”, featuring Bnxn.
