Bamike Olawunmi was born on April 24, 1989, in Lagos, Nigeria, as the eldest child of her parents, who are retired nurse and career diplomat. She was raised in between countries like United States, United Kingdom and France due to her father’s job.

She had her primary education at Nigerian Navy Primary School and her secondary education at La Folie St. James, Paris. She attended Igbinedion University Okada, Edo State as a medical student and later got direct entry into Bells University, Ota, where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Microbiology. She also trained in acting at the Royal Arts Academy.

She began her acting career in 2017 while she training at Royal Arts Academy. She made her screen debut in 2018 with a role in the web series Inspector K. Bamike who had made attempts to be on the reality tv show, Big Brother Naija, eventually got the opportunity in 2018 after being selected as one of the housemates of the Double Wahala season.

She came to limelight in 2025, for her exciting role as Chioma in the movie “Love in Every Word” alongside Uzor Arukwe. She has starred in other movies such as; The Gift Within, Just Say Yes, Wrong Door and so on. She’s quite talented and fast becoming one of the most sought after in the entertainment industry just like Kiekie and Chioma Nwosu.

Aside from acting, she launched a skincare line, Bam Beauty Oil in 2021, which reportedly grossed 25 million naira in initial sales. She is also the founder of Bammy Bestowed Foundation.

Bam Bam got married to Tope Adenibuyan popularly known as Teddy A, on September 7, 2019, in Ogun state. It was followed up with a white wedding ceremony on November 16, 2019 in Dubai. Their marriage has faced lots of speculations as regards the issue of divorce but they have not been officially separated. The couple unfollowed each other on Instagram and while Teddy A has removed her photos from his page, Bam Bam also dropped her husband’s name from her social media pages. Both have two children together.
