Ana Ortiz is an award winning American actress known for her role as Hilda Suarez in the drama series “Ugly Betty”.

Ana was born and raised in New York, United States where she had her high school education at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts before proceeding to the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She is of mixed ethnicity as her parents, Angel Ortiz is of Puerto Rican descent and Kathleen Kuhlman, is of German and Irish descent.

Ann Ortiz started up with theater productions and gradually moved to starring in television shows. She came through in the early 200s where she appeared in the NBC sitcoms Kristin and A.U.S.A in 2001 and 2003 respectively. She had recurring roles in the series Over There (2005) and Boston Legal (2006).

She came to the limelight for her role in the comedy dram serires Ugly Betty from 206 to 2010. She starred in the comedy films, Labor Pains in 2009, and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son in 2011.
She also appeared as Marisol Suarez in the comedy series Devios Maids, from 2013 to 2016. She appeared as Natasha in the TV episode 2021, Everybody Loves Raymond, and featured as Isabel Salazar in the Halu teen comedy series Love, Victor from 2020 to 2022.
