Laufey is an Icelandic-Chinese singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist notable for reviving jazz pop for the new generations through her album Bewitched. She is also credited for other exciting projects like Everything I Know About Love and A Matter of Time.
Laufey who was born in Reykjavík, Iceland, is of mixed ethnicity as her father is Icelandic and her mother from China. She became familiar with classical music from her mother and jazz from her father. She taught herself how to play the piano at the age four.
