Biography
Marc Bernal is a Spanish professional footballer known for his exceptional passing range and tactical awareness. He is a left-footed midfielder with press resistance, good vision and defensive ability.
Bernal was born in Berga, Spain to parents, Toni Bernal and Queralt. His father Toni Bernal played for Eants and Jupiter in the 90s, while his mother Queralt, worked at the Fundacio Horitzo in Bergueda.
He began his career at the youth level with his home town club Berga and then to Gimnastic Manresa before eventually joining Barcelona youth academy.
He made his debut for the Barcelona senior team in a 2-1 away victory against Valencia in La Liga, on August 17, 2024.
However, he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee during the away match against Rayo Vallecano which ended 2-1 in favour Barcelona, on August 27, 2024. He made his return in a 6-0 win against Valencia, on September 14, 2025.
He represented Spain at the under-17 level where he was named in the squad for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He made his debut for the senior team in a 2-1 friendly win against Palestine n. November 18, 2025.
