Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter is an American singer, songwriter, and actress well known for her chart-topping pop songs “Espresso”, “Please Please Please”, along with her albums “Short n’ Sweet” and “Man’s Best Friend”. She has evolved from Disney channel star to one of the defining voices in contemporary pop.

Carpenter who was born in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, is the youngest of four sisters. Her parents, Elizabeth and David Carpenter, nurtured her early interest in performance. Sabrina was already dancing at the age of two, and by six, she had began taking vocal lessons. She moved towards acting in her early teens, where she got her first role as a young performer, including appearances in TV shows and films.

She came through professionally in 2014, with the release of her first song “Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying”. She also featured as Maya Hart on the Disney Channel series known as “Girl Meets World”. She released several albums over the next few years, under Hollywood Records which include “Eyes Wide Open”, and “Evolution”.

Sabrina transitioned to Island Records in 2021. She released another song that same year, titled “Skin”. It became her first song to chart on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
