Gerard Martin is a Spanish professional footballer known as a defender with good one on one marking and aerial prowess. He is a natural left-back often used as a centre-back position.
Martin was born in Barcelona, Spain, before he moved with his family to Sant Andreu de la Barca at the age of five.
He began his career at the youth level with Cornella in 2018 before signing a two year contract with Barcelona Athletic on July 19, 2023. He became one of the key players under Rafael Marquez.
