Biography
Ibrahim Mbaye is a Senegalese professional footballer known for being a winger who can operate on either flanks. He is acknowledged for his dribbling, pace and attacking threat when it comes to one-on-ones.
Mbaye was born in Trappes, France to a Senegalese father, Souleymane Mbaye who is a former French boxing Champion and a Moroccan mother.
He represented France at the youth stage from under-16 to under-21 levels and later decided to play for Senegal at the senior level.
He was called up to the Senegalese national team in November 2025, and made his debut in a friendly match against Brazil on November 15. He scored his first international goal in a 8-0 friendly win against Kenya on November 18.
He became part of the Senegal squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, and played in the first group game against Botswana on December 23, 2025.
