Sandro Tonali is an Italian professional footballer known for his exceptional skills on the pitch as a midfielder. He is a deep-lying playmaker with passing ability, high work rate and defensive strength. He is a versatile midfielder who has been compared to the Italian legend Andrea Pirlo.
Tonali was born and raised in Lodi, Italy. He began playing for local clubs before joining the youth academy at Brescia.
He began his professional career with Brescia in 2017, where he quickly impressed coaches and fans alike. His impressive performances earned him a promotion to the first team. He also went on to help the club win Serie B in the 2018-19 season.
Tonali made the move to AC Milan in 2020, initially on loan before making the deal permanent in 2021. During his time at Milan, he played a total of 130 games, including a crucial role in the team’s Serie A title win in the 2021-22 season.
