Oladips is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter known for songs like Lalakukulala, and Ikebesupa. He is an Indigenous rapper with numerous freestyles and collaborations to his credit.
He began doing music in 2012 with a cover on “Successful” by Drake featuring Trey Songz.
He came to prominence after emerging as the winner of D’Banj’s “King is Here” competition, and was later signed to Edge Records, a record label owned by Rmeinisce.
He became known for his hit singles; Ajala, Mainlan 2 Mainland featuring Zlatan, and Lalakukulala featuring Reminisce. He left Reminisce record label in 2019.
The news about his death came in November 2023 of which it was later reported that he is still alive. Most people online claimed it was a public stunt to make the rapper relevant in the music industry.
Oladips has worked with the likes of CDQ, T Classic, Zlatan, Reminisce and so on. He continues to collaborate with different artists and also jump on several covers online. His cover verse on Davido’s Nakupenda and Fola and Shoday’s “Paparazzi” is an evidence that Oladips is a rapper for the future.
