Biography
Dro Fernandez is a Spanish professional footballer known for his creativity in the midfield position. He is an attacking midfielder with excellent dribbling and vision. He is simply a mix of Iniesta and Thiago Alcantara.
Dro was born Spain to a Spanish father and Filipino mother. He was raised by his parents alongside his other siblings. He developed passion for football at a very early age.
He began his career playing for a local club, Val Minor, at the age of four. He joined Barcelona youth academy in 2022, while rejecting offers from both Real Madrid and Real Betis. He played for both the Juvenil B and Juvenil A, where he made a total of 38 appearances in the 2024-25 season.
He became one of the standout players from the La Masia which also had the likes of Fermin Lopez, Lamine Yamal, Balde, Cubarsi, Gavi, Marc Bernal and Marc Casado.
He was included as part of the Barcelona senior team for the pre-season tour in July 2025, under the German coach Hansi Flick. He made his debut and scored in a 3-1 victory against Vissel Kobe.
He eventually left Barcelona due to playing time, to join Paris Saint-Germain on January 6 2026, on a contract until 2030.
Dro has also represented Spain from.the under-15 to under-8 levels. He was called up for the 2025 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualification matches in March 2025.
