Biography
Guiliano Simeone is an Argentine professional footballer known for his pace, dribbling and intensity. He is a forward with good link up play and high work rate. His aggression and constant pressing has distinguished him from other strikers.
Guiliano was born in Rome, Italy to parents, Diego Simeone and Carolina Baldini. He was born into a family of footballers as his father is a former football player who later became a coach for the Spanish club Athletico Madrid. His siblings; two brothers, Giovanni Simeone and Gianluca Simeone are also professional footballers. Giovanni is a striker who plays for Torino.
He developed himself at Riverplate before joining the youth academy of Athletico Madrid in 2019.
He was first called up to Athletico Madrid senior team at the 2021 pre-season. He eventually made his debut in a goalless draw with Granada on April 20, 2022.
He went on loan to Real Zaragoza on July 4, 2022, and scored his first professional goal two months after, in a 2-1 loss to CD Lugo.
He later moved to Deportivo Alaves on one year loan, on July 21, 2023, before finally returning to Athletico Madrid for the 2024-25 season.
He played for Argentina at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He made his debut for the Argentine national team against Peru for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification. He scored his first goal in a 4-1 thrashing of Brazil.
