Biography
Bruno Onyemaechi is a Nigerian professional footballer known for his pace and high rate of ball recovery. He is a modern day left-back with good link up play and crossing ability.
Onyemaechi was born in Owerri to parents, Mr and Mrs Onyemaechi and was raised alongside his other siblings.
He had his trial at Stabæk and Lillestrøm before joining the Portuguese club Boavista on August 17, 2022, on a season loan with an option to buy. Boavista eventually triggered the option and signed gin permanently in June 2023. He later signed for the Greek club Olympiacos in 2025.
He won the Superleague Greece, and Greek Football Cup with Olympiacos in 2024-25 season.
He made his debut for the Nigerian national team in a 6-0 win against Sao Tomé and Principe on September 10, 2023. He also made appearances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco where he helped the team reached he’d the semi-finals before they lost to Morocco on penalty.
