Ella Langley is an American country singer and songwriter who made a mark in the music industry with an emotional duet titled “You Look Like You Love Me”. She took the country by storm with her extraordinary vocals which alone is self introductory in the music scene.
Ella who grew up in Hope Hull, Alabama, was raised in a family with musical background where she sang in church with her siblings.She learned to play musical instruments like the piano alongside her grandfather.
She taught herself the fundamentals of guitar at the age of 14, and by then, she knew music was not just a hobby but a dream come true. At that time, Ella began to go for talent shows while also performing at local bars and festivals.
Ella decided to choose possibility over predictability as she left Auburn University in 2019, packed her guitar, and moved to Nashville. Her passion for the craft and creativity was fueled by the city’s rhythm while being balanced with her songwriting skills. She also did covers, and open-mic nights until her voice found the right ears with a viral clip posted to TikTok in 2021, which sets the stage for her music career.
Ella had signed with Sony Music Nashville and Columbia Records in 2023, and that was a major turning point in her career. The same year in May, she released her debut EP Excuse the Mess.
Not until 2024, before Ella got a major breakthrough in the music industry with a duet with Riley Green titled“You Look Like You Love Me”. The duet earned her a No. 1 country radio hit, platinum certification, and the CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year.
She came through with her first album titled “Hungover”, in August 2024. It is a 14 tracks album with lots of expression from Ella who poured herself into every lyrics from heartbreak to healing.
She has been acknowledged for a job well done on the album by both music pundits and critics alike. She was praised by The New York Times and Rolling Stone for her boldness and clarity. She released the album’s deluxe reissue known as “Still Hungover”, in late 2024, featuring the single “Weren’t for the Wind”, which became her first solo in early 2025.
