Biography
Akor Adams is a Nigerian professional footballer known for his clinical finishing, and impressive link up play. He is a striker with relentless pressing, and excellent movement off the ball.
He began his football career at the Jamba football academy and joined the Norwegian club side Sogndal in August 2018. He made his debut for the club on August 28 and had a total of 28 appearances with 10 goals in the 2020 season.
He joined Lillestrøm on a three-year contract on December 2, 2021, and later transferred to the French club Montpellier for a reported fee of €4 million on August 7, 023. He had a total of 11 goals in 47 appearances during his time at Montpellier.
He signed a four-and-a-half-year contract for the La Liga club, Sevilla for a reported fee of €5 million, on January 27, 2025. He scored his first goal for Sevilla in a 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano on September 28, 2025. He followed up with another impressive performance in a 4-1 thrashing of Barcelona the following week where he scored his team fourth goal.
He represented Nigeria at the under-20 level and played at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he helped the team reached the last 16 before they lost to 2-1 to Senegal.
He was called up to the Nigerian senior team on October 4, 2025, for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Lesotho and Benin. He scored his first goal after coming on as a substitute in a match against Lesotho.
He was also part of the squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and scored the fourth goal in a 4-0 thrashing of Mozambique at the last 16 round.
