Biography
Eric Chelle is a football manger and former player. He was the head coach of the Malian national team and later appointed as the manger of the Nigerian national team.
Chelle was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast to parents from different ethnicity. His father is from France, and his mither is from Mali. He grew up in France where he spent his whole career as a footballer.
He began his career as a footballer where he played for the likes of Martigues, Valenciennes, Lens, Istres, and Chamois Niortais. He also represented Mali at the international level.
He became the head coach of US Boulogne in May 2021 and was sacked on December 11, 2021.
He was assigned as the manager of the Malian national team in 2022. He led the team to the 2023 Africa Cupnof Nations quarter-finals, where they lost to the host Ivory Coast. He was later sacked on June 13, 2024.
He was appointed as the head coach of MC Oran on October 9, 2024, and later became the head coach of the Nigerian national team where he led the Super Eagles to the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
