Biography
Amad Diallo is an Ivorian professional footballer known as a dynamic winger with good vision and chance creating ability. He is a fast winger who often make use of feints and quick feet’s to beat defenders. He can use both left and right feet and also has shot accuracy most especially from long distance.
Amad was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast to parents Marina Edwige, and Hamed Mamadou Traore. His family moved to Italy from Ivory Coast when he was just eight years old. He grew up with his older brother Hamed Traore.
He began his career at the youth level with Boca Barco 2014 before joining the youth academy of Atalanta in 2015.
He made his first team debut for Atalanta in a 7-1 victory against Udinese where he also scored his first goal after coming on as a substitute at the 79th minute on October 27, 2019.
He signed for Manchester United on a five-year contract for a reported fee of €21.3 million, on October 5, 2020. He later went on loan to Rangers and Sunderland within 2022 and 2023. He won the Scottish Cup: 2021-22 with Rangers.
Amad returned to Manchester United with his breakthrough in the 2023-24 season where he had lots of amazing performances with goals to back it up. He won the FA Cup 2023-24 with Manchester United.
He became a regular at Manchester United under the interim coach, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and then the head coach Ruben Amorim.
He represented Ivory Coast at the under-23 level and made his debut for the senior team in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification game against Niger on March 26, 2021. He scored his first goal in a 2-1 friendly win against. Burkina Faso on June 5, 2021.
He was also part of the Ivorian squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco where he scored in a 1-1 draw with Cameroon at the group stage.
Amad Diallo and his girlfriend Chula are said to have reportedly engaged as they maintained private relationship.
