Biography
Trevoh Chalobah is an English professional footballer known for his defensive skills. He plays as a centre-back for the English national team and has been recognized for his leadership role at the backline.
Chalobah who was born in Sierra Leone, was raised by his father who worked as a security gaurd while their mother passed away in 2016. His family moved to England at the age of two while he grew up alongside his siblings, in Gipsy Hill in the London Borough of Lambeth. He has two brothers Nathaniel Chalobah who is also a footballer, and Paul Chalobah.
He began his career at the youth level in Chelsea in 2007 and had progressed to the senior team in 2018.
He went on loan to different clubs which include, Ipswich town, Huddersfield Town, and Lorient from 2018 to 2021.
After successful loan spells for many seasons, Chalobah returned to Chelsea in 2021 and made his debut on August 11, 2021, in a match against Villareal at the 2021 UEFA Super Cup.
However, he signed a new contract with Chelsea on November 4, which will run till 2026. He scored his first UEFA Champions League goal in a 4-0 home win against Juventus on November 23.
He joined Crystal Palace on loan on August 30, 2024, and was later recalled by Chelsea on January 15, 2025 due to injuries in their defense line. He had 12 appearances with 3 goals during his loan spell at Crystal Palace.
He represented England from the under-16 to the under-21 level. He was called up to the senior team on May 23, 2025, and made his debut in 3-1 loss to Senegal on June 10, 2025.
Chalobah won the FA Cup (2017-18), UEFA Conference League (2024-25) with Chelsea. He was also part of the squad that won the UEFA Super Cup: 2021.
